The main priority in this remodel was to update both bathrooms within this Minnetonka home. The downstairs was tight, outdated, and the shower felt isolated from the rest of the space. A recessed portion in the wall held a freestanding cabinet, and mobility within each of the bathrooms was a major challenge for the couple.
Our design team crafted a plan for the recessed niche that included putting a tall upper cabinet for toiletries above a base cabinet to provide enhanced storage. This shower transformation included a beautiful glass bypass shower door to make the overall area feel more spacious. The incorporation of aging in place elements was a must for these homeowners, so our design team mindfully added details such as a grab bar in the shower.
This remodel refreshed the space, adding a cool, monochromatic color palette for a more modern aesthetic. These homeowners had a clear vision for the color schemes layered throughout the remodel; looking for the right custom color for the vanity and walls was a collaborative and fun experience.
