Creating a Master Plan

In this 1978 townhome renovation, New Spaces reconstructed the condo's kitchen, main level and stairway to better suit the needs of owners, Kate and Vince. Located in Minneapolis, the condo underwent a thoughtfully designed and executed makeover, getting the home ready for the next phase of their lives.

Discover the Process

The owners initially contacted New Spaces with the objectives of increasing natural light, improving the flow of their home, adding countertop space and improving storage capacity.

Before the Remodel:

The couple expressed that they enjoy hosting in their space, typically entertaining 30 family members during the holidays. They imagined their condo could be the hub for their children and grandchildren to make memories in the years to come.

Creating a landscape that felt open and updated, New Spaces carefully reconfigured the dining room space plan and created a new, welcoming reading room area with a wrap-around breakfast bar, removed inhibiting walls and a never-used-fireplace and re-designed the traffic pattern to promote movement within the townhome.
