Each year, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry - Minnesota Chapter (NARI-MN) brings together the best of the best in the remodeling industry to honor outstanding achievements in craftsmanship and innovation. The prestigious Contractor of the Year (CotY) awards recognize professionals who have excelled in transforming residential spaces.
This year, New Spaces was the Silver winner in the Residential Exterior category, with a project valued between $100,000 to $200,000, setting a new standard for excellence.
About the CotY Awards:
NARI-MN received 123 entries this year, collectively representing a staggering $29 million worth of remodeling projects. Judging for the CotY awards is a meticulous process that evaluates projects based on several key criteria, including problem-solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, and degree of difficulty. An impartial panel of industry experts rigorously reviews each entry to ensure that only the most exceptional projects receive recognition.
New Spaces is honored to receive this award.
About the Project:
A traditional 2-story ‘90s home recently underwent a major transformation with help from the award-winning New Spaces in-house design team. The family wanted a home that accommodated hosting as well as more appropriate space to enjoy the outdoors. This remodel added a 14x16 3-Season insulated Sunroom that showcases the beauty of the landscape through a generous window design so the family is able to enjoy both the peace of the winter and radiance of summer.
Gorgeously executed Beamed Ceiling details contrast the white aesthetic of the addition. A dramatic Stone Fireplace Façade and Shiplap Wall feature with a big screen TV bring the family a new capacity to entertain in their home whether it be big games enjoyed with extended family or cozy date night evenings with friends.
The Porch provides access to a generous Stained and Stamped Patio Area with boulder retaining walls and stone columns acting as an Extended Outdoor Living room overlooking Lake Susan. Whether the addition serves as a “cabin getaway” or entertainment oasis, this remodel was ideal for this new chapter.
