Mark and Amelia were a couple in their 40s with two children. They really wanted to add an ensuite master bathroom that was more functional and more relaxing. It would primarily be used by Mark and Amelia, but it also had to be usable for their children or guests if needed. New Spaces helped them create an inviting, enviable master bath.
We wanted to bring warmth into the bathroom, without making it feel too dark. The Starmark Stratford cherry cabinets, the wood-framed mirror, cherry shelving and the mocha floor tile all add a richness. In order to balance the space, we kept the walls, appliances, tiling and countertops light. Tiling along the tub and walls add texture without feeling dated. The room lets in plenty of natural light alongside ample light fixtures. The overall affect is both bright and cozy.
The his and hers sink area provides plenty of space for the couple to get ready in the morning. A storable stool quickly converts it into a vanity area. The Nutono Granite Remnant are easy to clean – an absolute must for an area that’s prone to spilling. The nearby bench adds extra storage and a place to get dressed.
Having a separate tub and shower was a big want for this master bath. We created a shower nook on the opposite side of the bathroom, which allows two people to use the tub and shower simultaneously without feeling too crowded. Built-in shelving in the shower adds space for storage. The bathtub is luxuriously tiled and deep, for a relaxing soak. Built-in shelves provide a space to stash towels, without an annoying rack. The skylight above the area is downright enviable and creates an absolutely stunning bathing environment.
This bathroom remodel was an absolute joy for our team. We were so excited to be able to create a space for Mark and Amelia that they both love and is functional for everyday use.
