Eagan Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel by New Spaces
Welcome to a Kitchen and bathroom remodel that was completed in Eagan by our Design-Build remodeling team.
This wonderful family had been living in their home for 23 years, and it was time for a new kitchen.
More About this Remodel
Here at New Spaces Remodeling, we’re passionate about helping clients develop a vision for their kitchens, bathrooms, basements and other spaces, and then bringing that vision to reality.
Remodeling is as much about understanding the lifestyle of our client, as it is about architectural plans, interior design, or general contracting and management.
We take a consultative approach to help people develop ideas, a vision, plans, and then to prioritize that information into a budget and a working plan…. then we work our magic.
Kitchen Remodel Project Summary:
This kitchen was all about the details.
After living in their home for 23 years, this couple was ready for a new kitchen. During our conversations before the remodel, we learned that they really liked the kitchen, but wanted to remodel because they didn’t like how they used it..
New cabinets offer storage features that make kitchen
storage a breeze. Medium-toned maple cabinets bring warmth into the space that
is accented by new recessed lighting in the ceiling and under-cabinet lighting
added throughout the kitchen. Drawer bases make even the heaviest pots and pans easy to find and use. Peg inserts allow these home owners to customize the storage for their needs. Granite and quartz countertops provide great everyday workspace while a butcher-block feature offers a pleasant surprise at the end of the island.
A “café table” was added at the other end of the island for seating and entertaining. New luxury vinyl flooring and detailed trim work tie the whole space together. Now that they are moved in, this couple is loving their New Space!
Master Bathroom Remodeling
In addition to the kitchen, this client decided to update the master shower with new tile, plumbing fixtures and a frameless glass door. A shower niche provides a little eye candy as well as storage for daily use items.
Microwave Placement in Remodeled Kitchens:
This client chose to purchase some new appliances and reuse other appliances and, as in most kitchens, the microwave can be hard to place. In this case the microwave has a prime spot next to the refrigerator with plenty of landing space below for hot dishes as they come out of the microwave.
Kitchen Storage Ideas
Storage was a hot button issue for this client. The old kitchen didn’t have enough room to store many of the small appliances and bakeware that they used often. More cabinet storage was added to accommodate everyday needs while the new built in pantry provides storage for bulk foods, small appliances and cleaning products. A custom door was chosen by the client to make this pantry beautiful and functional.
Corners can be very tricky to navigate in a kitchen. In this case a folding door was chosen for easy access. Extra space was added to the adjoining cabinet to allow for some fancy frame work. That reminds us, we have to go thank our carpenters for their great work!
