Kitchen Remodel

Lakeville, MN

Who lives here

Lisa and Parker and two school-aged children.

Obstacles and Opportunities

A new, open floor plan with plenty of cabinetry and storage made life a whole lot easier and more enjoyable for this Apple Valley MN family.

The backsplash features a convenient shelf and contrasting mosaic tile. The design also features two colors of Cambria countertops and beautiful cork flooring.

BEFORE: Parker says the mudroom was “really a treacherous spot with nowhere for anyone to go as we came in the door.”

AFTER: The mudroom/laundry space was also updated with custom organization and lockers.

Two Families Remodel at the Same Time

Lisa and Parker and their neighbors Rick and Melanie worked with two different designers to develop their plans, and two different lead carpenters to execute and build those plans. Both families were thrilled with the detailed design and planning process and professional management and building experience.

“Working with New Spaces was really great! We really appreciated the fact that you get three design plans.”

74 Seconds with Parker and Lisa

In this short video, Parker and Lisa share their remodeling experience with New Spaces. Working with our team they transformed their kitchen, dining room, and mudroom. He says, “Working with New Spaces was easy and painless.” She says, “It was wonderful!”

Before and After

BEFORE: A wall separated the kitchen from the dining room. Predictably, guests gathered in the kitchen, making things challenging for the hosts.

AFTER: Lisa and Parker transformed their kitchen from typical to spectacular. With a peninsula in place of the old stove and microwave, the new space has better sight lines, a more open feel and is more conducive to entertaining. The mix of white, red and cherry cabinetry create a warm, modern-cottage feel.
